PIA CAMIL’S STUDIO in Mexico City is an expansive, windowless room on the ground floor of an old building tucked away between a wide arterial road and the city’s Parque de Chapultepec. She keeps the basement-like space orderly, and during the workday it is almost impossible to imagine it moonlighting as El Cisne (The Swan), a lively cabaret Camil stages there a few nights a year…….

Carolina Caycedo Exhibition Contributors at Chicago Architecture Biennial

The third Chicago Architecture Biennial will occur from September 19, 2019, to January 5, 2020, and yesterday the first group of contributors to the 2019 edition and publication was announced. This year’s theme, “…and other such stories,” will bring together a multi-faceted and international exploration of architecture and the built environment. Newly commissioned projects for the Biennial will highlight issues including public housing, social justice, and the appropriation and preservation of the natural environment…..

Nohemí Perez_El diario de una artista que pintó la guerra del Catatumbo

Las obras de Nohemí Pérez sobre su territorio han llegado hasta Praga. Además de contar su región a través de las artes plásticas, decidió escribir su propia historia sobre el Catatumbo en un diario en el que se entrecruzan historias familiares con los acontecimientos históricos que marcaron la historia de estos municipios de Norte de Santander.
