Ana María Millán
The work of Ana María Millán addresses the politics of gaming and animation in relation to digital cultures, magic, violence, propaganda and the image of the monster. She has developed strategies based on role-playing and reenactment as a methodology to create a series of open-ended scripts that result in narrative films and video games. This work deals with amateur cultures, pop politics, sound territories, nature, and technology —incorporating the possibilities and mistakes of the rehearsals and narrative forms considered dysfunctional.
Her work is part of various collections as MoMA, KADIST and Banco de República Colombia. Her work is represented by Instituto de Visión in Bogotá and NY.
