Zona Maco 2014
This project consists of the temporary construction of a floor design, resembling a mosaic, using unstable materials such as coffee, sugar, and cream (powdered milk). In this way, la disolución de la geometría is a project that proposes the construction of a temporary geometric order that can be collectively modified, generating a floor design and an aerial view of an abstract territory. These materials represent three of the main extraction economies through which the American continent continues to be transformed, even today, into a predominantly agricultural and livestock territory, expanding the Western influence within a new landscape. At the same time, these materials have a sense of universal everyday use.
The project is designed to be intervened by the public, so that walkers can gradually transform the initial arrangement of the materials with their steps, thus dissolving the initial geometric order.
