Otto Berchem’s work explores the way we live and how we communicate our experiences to one another. Said interest stems from the exploration of different social, pictorial and semantic codes through the use of public space and non-artistic contexts.

The work that Monika Bravo shows in the 2014 version of arteBA enjoys processes and analyzes their link with space. Her practice focuses on the analysis of the places in which he physically and emotionally inhabits, resulting in pieces that debate between the document and the anecdotal.

Pia Camil’s installations and performances start, in many cases, from a direct antecedent that the artist identifies in the history of art. In recent years, works by renowned artists have been cited and reconfigured, or used as starting points for a work that later develops autonomously.

Tania Candiani’s investigative work is based on language, text, the political implications of the domestic, nature, the public and the private, and the concept of the “other”. She translates strategies and practices within linguistic, visual, and phonetic systems, generating associations where a nostalgia for the obsolete constantly appears.

Wilson Díaz’s work is based on the complex Colombian sociopolitical situation. His work inquires into the complex historical, social and political context of Colombia, through artistic operations such as the appropriation of images from the mass media, or historical images of different importance that he himself documents.

The extensive career as an artist of Juan Pablo Echeverri develops mainly in video and photography, with work focused on exploring the self-portrait. His works explore issues of identity, image, and gender in the public and private spheres, and the way in which individual identities transform over time.

Alberto Lezaca’s work seeks to create a space where nothing is useful, where the senses are assaulted by invisibility. He intends to find in experimentation, a space where established communication systems are dismantled, causing memory to weaken and disappear.

Carlos Motta is a multidisciplinary artist whose work is grounded in political history, in an attempt to create counternarratives that acknowledge repressed histories, communities, and identities.

The multidisciplinary work of Daniel Santiago can be defined as a cartography through his experiences. He makes use of media such as photography, video, drawing, collage, and installations where the collection of objects that are out of use speak of stories that end up drawing a landscape.
